Partnering With Young Life of Casco Bay!

We are excited to announce an important partnership with our good friends at Young Life, Casco Bay. For several years, The Root Cellar in Portland has hosted Young Life groups, drawing teens from local schools and our neighborhood. Over the past year, we have been looking to deepen this relationship, recognizing our shared goal of discipling teens from within the immigrant communities of Portland.

As we talked more, we realized that God may be doing something unique and new within each ministry. The result is what we are calling the Portland Youth Collaborative. This effort has the sole purpose of serving and reaching middle and high school kids in the African immigrant communities of Portland, Maine.

The Portland Youth Collaborative (Young Life Casco Bay & The Root Cellar | Portland) is looking for a full-time Coordinator to lead, develop, and grow the ministry (Young Life Casco Bay & The Root Cellar) in and among the African immigrant community of Portland. This ministry will specifically focus on reaching kids at Portland and Deering High Schools as well as within our own Kennedy Park, East Bayside, and future neighborhoods.

We are incredibly excited about this partnership, and truly believe that God will bring the right person to launch this effort.
