ROOTED YOUTH MENTORING

Mentoring for

LIFE

We believe mentoring neighborhood youth is the most impactful strategy to prepare them to grow as leaders and transform their own communities. Rooted Mentoring Groups meet throughout the year and offer many opportunities for children and teens to Work, Play, Grow and Gather together.

For Elementary Aged Children, we offer After-School and Summer Day Camps in Portland and Lewiston.

Neighborhood teens are eligible to join a Teen Work Experiences, where teens are paid a stipend to learn and work in this unique youth development program. Click here to learn more about these paid opportunities for teens.

Rooted Mentoring is a proud member of Leadership Foundations National Mentoring Network, preparing youth as the next generation of leaders by connecting them with caring mentoring relationships.

AFTER SCHOOL

Our AFTER-SCHOOL group mentoring program provides enriching activities for elementary students and meets Monday - Thursdays throughout the school year in Portland & Lewiston, serving more than 250 each year.

Activities homework help, art, sewing skill building, science, and cooking. Each week involves field trips, including hiking, fishing, swimming and skiing.

Mentors are screened, trained and supported by our staff and considered part of our team.

Investing time and energy into our youngest neighbors is one of the greatest ministry opportunities we offer.
